WINDSOR, Colo. (AP) – Emergency personnel in northern Colorado are still trying to determine how many people are hurt, and how badly following a large tornado that killed at least one person.

At least seven people were taken to a hospital with injuries, but the nature and extent of their injuries are not yet known.

Homes and farm buildings have lost roofs, utility poles are toppled and a jackknifed truck blocked a state highway. Interstate 25, the main north-south highway, is back open to traffic, while lockdowns of schools in the area were lifted about an hour after the storm passed.
