El Paso City Council Defines Arroyos
By ABC-7 Reporter Martin Bartlett
EL PASO — Do you know what an arroyo is?
After years of debate, El Paso City Council finally has an official definition.
The old definition only included the rocky channel at the bottom which was just a few feed wide, but council’s new definition includes the entire arroyo which can be in some cases hundreds of feet wide.
Council’s decision could have a big impact on development in the Sun City because council will now set to work trying to figure out how it can legally stop some construction in El Paso’s arroyos.
