Sheriff’s Deputies Round Up 21 During Warrant Sweep
EL PASO COUNTY — Deputies with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office nabbed 21 people with outstanding criminal warrants during two separate sweeps on Tuesday and Thursday.
The warrants ranged from aggravated assault, serious drug offenses, sex crimes and various other felonies.
County Sheriff Kimmy Apodaca advised anyone with outstanding criminal warrants to turn themselves in. “Anyone who has outstanding criminal warrants, my advice would be to turn yourselves in or we are coming after you,” he said in a news release.
Among those arrested were:
Esteban Jimenez, 39, of the 1500 block of Fresno in Anthony, Texas. He has outstanding warrants on charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon And Assault Causing Bodily Injury. He was booked into the El Paso County Detention Center on a $25,300 bond.
Blanca Mercado, 47, of the 700 block of Bayfield in Canutillo, Texas. Mercado is charged with Tampering with Government Records and was booked into the county jail under a $25,000 bond.
Rodolfo Benavidez, 46, of the 4100 block of Emory in El Paso. He had an outstanding warrant for a charge of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Sheriff’s officials said the charge was also a violation of his probation and he was booked into the county jail without bond.
Jesus Sanchez, 61, of the 1200 block of E. San Antonio in El Paso. Sanchez is charged with Tampering with Government Records. His bond was set at $5,000.
Marcos Natividad, 34, of the 10400 block of Montevideo in Socorro. Natividad was wanted on a Robbery charge. His bond was set at $25,000.
Alexandro Tenorio, 44, of the 8700 block of Cathedral in El Paso. He is charged with Tampering with Government Records and his bond was set at $1,000.
Daniel Ramirez, 21, of the 11400 block of Bakersfield in El Paso. He was wanted on Possession of Cocaine charges, which officials said was a violation of his probation. He was jailed with no bond.
Pedro Delgado, 28, of the 8100 block of La Paloma in El Paso. He was wanted on Possession of a Controlled Charges (Cocaine) and his bond was set at $5,000.
Monica Salinas, 39, of the 11900 block of Picasso in El Paso. He was wanted on charges of Theft of Property over $1,500 and under $20,000. He was jailed on a $3,000 bond.
Miguel Moreno, 44, of the 400 block of Concepcion in El Paso. Officials said he was wanted on Driving While Intoxicated charges, which was a violation of his probation. He was jailed with no bond.
Lucio Alvarado, 41, of the 1500 block of Coronel in El Paso. Alvarado had outstanding warrants on charges of Possession of Cocaine and Driving While Intoxicated. Officials said the cocaine charge was a violation of his probation and the DWI charge was his third offense. He was jailed without bond.
Katrina Rockmore, 32, of the 600 block of Carlos in Ashburn, Georgia. Rockmore had an outstanding warrant on Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon charge. Officials said this was a violation of her probation. She was jailed without bond.
John Hinojos, 36, of the 2900 block of E. San Antonio in El Paso. He was wanted on Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon charges, which were a violation of his probation, officials said. He was also wanted on a charge of Unauthorized Absence from a Community Correctional Facility. His bond was set at $5,000.
Jesus Herrera, 49, of the 2700 block of Lousiville in El Paso. He was wanted on a charge of Assault Causing Bodily Injury, which was violation of his probation. Herrera was jailed without bond.
Shannon Hillery, 26, of the 1100 block of N. El Paso St. in El Paso. She had an outstanding warrant on charges of Manufacturing and Delivering a Controlled Substance and Delivery of more than 4 oz. and less than 5lbs. of Marijuana. She was jailed under a $5,500 bond.
Steven Martinez, 34, of the 1100 block of N. El Paso St. El Paso. He was wanted on a charge of Manufacturing and Delivering a controlled Substance and was jailed under a $3,000 bond.
Bruce Marestein, 49, of the 3400 block of Hayes El Paso. He was wanted on a charges of Family Violence and Assault Causing Bodily Injury, according to Sheriff’s officials. The charges violated Marestein’s probation and he was jailed without bond, officials added.
Juan Gonzalez, 37, of the 4100 block of Bliss in El Paso. Gonzalez was wanted on charges of Driving While Intoxicated for a third time, which was a violation of his probation. He was jailed without bond.
Silvia Avila, 20, of the 12900 block of Bugambilia in San Elizario, Texas. She had outstanding warrants on charges of Injury to a Child with Intent to Cause Bodily Injury. She was jailed under a $15,000 bond.
Antonio Adame, 45, of the 1650 block of Horizon infar east El Paso County. He had an outstanding warrant for violating his probation and was jailed without bond.
Joshua Garcia, 18, of the 5500 block of Confetti inEl Paso. He had an outstanding warrant for Tampering and Fabricating Physical Evidence. He was jailed under a $5,000 bond.
