ICE Arrests 22 In El Paso And New Mexico

EL PASO — U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement announced that 22 people were arrested in El Paso and New Mexico as part of an operation that targeted street gangs and their criminal associates.

A total of 1,759 were arrested nationwide. Of those, nearly 1,500 were gang members, associates or those otherwise criminally charged – including more than 30 percent with violent criminal histories and 17 gang leaders, ICE offcials said.

Targeted gangs included MS-13, Surenos-13, 18th Street Gang, Hermanos Pistoleros, Mexican Mafia, Latin Kings, Bloods, Crips, and Vatos Locos, officials said.
