17-Year-Old Arrested At Bridge For Driving Stolen Vehicle, Drug Possession

EL PASO — A 17-year-old was arrested Saturday at the Paso Del Norte port of entry when police saw him driving a truck that was reported stolen, El Paso police officials said.

About 11 a.m. Saturday, police saw Javier Romero driving a 2007 blue GMC Yukon into the United States. Investigators determined the Yukon had been reported stolen from Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

Romero was placed under arrest for unauthorized use of motor vehicle and possession of marijuana under two ounces, officials said.

He was booked into the El Paso County Jail.
