Man Dead After Overnight Roll-Over
EL PASO– A man is dead after losing control of his vehicle early Saturday morning.
Police say 39-year-old Kelly Jamoe Myrick of Las Cruces died after he was ejected from his 2005 GMC Envoy.
The accident happened after 7 A.M. near mile marker fourteen on the western side of Loop 375.
Police temporarily closed Transmountain road for about four hours while they investigated the crash. It is now re-open.
Our TEX DOT cameras showed several emergency units on the mountain.
Investigators say Myrick was headed west when he lost control. His S-U-V crossed into the eastbound lane, then rolled several times.
Myrick died on the scene. Officials say speed and alcohol might have been factors.
