King’s X Bar To Shut Down For Three Months
The King’s X bar will shut down for three months starting at midnight, January 5th.
The temporary closure is part of a probation-type deal reached between the bar and the Texas Alcohol and Beverage Commission.
Originally, the bar faced the possibility of losing its liquor license and being shut down permanently after a man who became drunk there hit and killed two people with his car.
Eduardo Sandoval was convicted of murder in 2007 after running over James Michael Kaiser and Amanda Carrasco on Mesa Street and Cincinnati Avenue, killing them.
King’s X will reopen this year on April 6 but will not be allowed to operate past midnight until April 2010.
