Indirect/Direct Evaporative Cooling Process

In the indirect cooling stage, entering air is cooled along a horizontal humidity ratio line on the Psychrometric Chart (A to B) shown to theabovewithout adding moisture. In the next cooling stage, this air is further cooled along a new wet-bulb line (B to C), resulting in a lower dry-bulb temperature of leaving air than can be achieved with single stage direct evaporative cooling alone.
