Driver Crashes Into Construction Site On El Paso’s Westside

A West El Paso driver had a harrowing experience early Saturday morning.

Shortly before 3:00am, the driver’s truck crashed into a construction area near the intersection of Redd Road and Oakbriar.

While El Paso Police have not released details of the crash, including the driver’s name, video from ABC-7’s camera crew showed the truck went through the mound of dirt, caution tape, and orange barrels surrounding the construction area’s hole.

In addition, the truck’s passenger side door was open when our crew arrived on the scene.

Authorities did not say how many people were in the truck at the time of the crash or if anyone was seriously injured.
