Apartment Fire Displaces Family On El Paso’s Westside

A family is without a home after a fire ripped through a West El Paso apartment complex Saturday night.

The call came in shortly before 8:00pm on the 7200 block of Mesa near Resler.

Police blocked off the area for safety reasons, while a fire hose stretched across the street caused a traffic backup on Mesa. Because of this, traffic was rerouted through the parking lot of a shopping center.

According to firefighters, the blaze displaced five family members from two apartments. In addition, a woman and a baby lived in the apartment where the fire began.
