Extension Cord Caused Fire At Downtown Home, Fire Officials Say

EL PASO, Texas — An improper use of an extension cord caused a house fire in Downtown El Paso on Saturday night, El Paso Fire Department officials said.

The fire broke out about 10:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of North Kansas.

A family of four was left without a home due to the blaze, which caused about $20,000 in damage. No one was injured.
