Fire Spreads From Pallet Lot To Warehouse

EL PASO, TX — Fire investigators are looking into a blaze that started on a lot filled with pallets and spread to a neighboring warehouse. It started at 12:23am Friday in the 2400 block of Texas.

Fire officials tell ABC-7 they could see flames before they arrived at the warehouse. They managed to get the fire under control in 45 minutes, but not before the flames and smoke had severely damaged the interior. Officials say the wind kept them from extinguishing the fire sooner.

Investigators have not pinned down the cause of the blaze. “We go into every fire trying to figure out exactly what happened,” says Capt. Matt Widtfelt.”We are trying to figure out what happened here.”

No one was hurt.
