Time Warner Cable Offers Free Preview Of Texas Longhorns On Demand Channel
To kick off the 2010 Texas Football season, UT fans get a free preview of Time Warner Cable’s Longhorn Sports On Demand channel, Bevo-D, it was announced on the official Website of the Texas Longhorns.
Bevo-D provides UT sports — from the gridiron to the diamond — to TWC digital subscribers. This channel features classic victories and recent triumphs, along with exclusive interviews with student-athletes and coaches. New shows and games will be added each week.
The free preview extends from Sept. 14-Oct. 14, and is available to all TWC digital subscribers in Austin, Waco, Temple, Killeen, Dallas and San Antonio. For the first time, Bevo-D will be available to fans in Corpus Christi, the Rio Grande Valley, Laredo and El Paso.
Bevo-D features “On Demand” technology, allowing viewers to watch games and programs on their schedule with the ability to pause, fast-forward and rewind. Once viewers are on Bevo-D all they have to do is press Select to view their desired program.
“Time Warner Cable is extending the way Longhorn fans can watch their favorite UT sports in action by offering Bevo-D in more areas,” Texas Football coach Mack Brown said. “Bevo-D is a great way for our fans to relive all their favorite Longhorn sports moments.”
Highlights on the channel include the national championship victory over Southern California, the inaugural Big 12 football championship win over Nebraska, video rosters for football, volleyball, soccer as well as baseball, softball, soccer and volleyball contests.
“Bevo-D from Time Warner Cable is the only way for Longhorn fans to watch the latest games, relive epic battles from the past, catch coaches’ interviews and more all available for viewing anytime,” said Jon Gary Herrera, regional vice president of communications for Time Warner Cable.
Regularly priced at $3.99 per month, the free preview gives fans a chance to check out all Bevo-D has to offer.
