Next Month Is Breast Cancer Awarness Month, And The Effort To Get The Word Out Starts Today

October is Breast Cancer Awarness Month and the effort to get the word out about early detection offically started today. Pictorials featuring breast cancer survivors will be on display at area malls and hospitals. The goal is to show other woman that cancer doesn’t define and that it can actually help enrich your life.

October 06, 2010 Celebrate Life Fiesta! Breast Cancer Survivor Fashion Show. Fashions by Dillard’s benefitting the University Breast Care Center at Texas Tech. To be held at the Judson Williams Convention Center from 11:30 – 1:00 p.m. Tickets are $50 individual and a roll of ten are $500. For more information call 565-6400.

October 10, 2010 Cut for the Cure! Haircuts and manicures at Jacqui hair Salon from 10am – 3pm.

October 12, 2010 Fit for the Cure! Professional bra fittings at Dillard’s at Sunland Park Mall from 10am – 4pm. Bra fittings and purchases to benefit Komen.

October 13, 2010 Mini Breast Health Fair at Del Sol Medical Center. The fair will be held on Wednesday October 13 at the Del Sol Medical Center 2nd floor lobby, from 10am – 2pm.

October 15, 2010 Bras for the Cause! Gala featuring locally adorned bras that will be modeled by the El Paso Fire Department Force.

October 15, 2010 Kicks for the Cure! Wear pink and get in free to see the Utep Women’s Soccer Team take on the Southern Miss. Golden Eagles at University Field at 7pm.
