Fire Rips Through Local Recycling Yard
A fire ripped through a local recycling yard in Montana Vista Saturday afternoon.
Heavy smoke could be seen for miles. The blaze broke out just after 1 p.m. at Aveo Surplus Metals on the 3800 block of Krag.
Firefighters from Montana Vista along with the Horizon City and Clint fire departments were called to battle the blaze.
The business uses wooden pallets and many of those pallets caught fire, sending thick black smoke into the sky.
