El Paso Man Accused Of Transporting And Having Sex With 13-Year-Old Louisiana Girl

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office Strike Team arrested an El Paso man on charges of aggravated sexual assault of a minor Friday.

Deputies received information on a case involving a 13-year-old girl from Louisiana and 20-year-old Marcos Chairez from El Paso.

The investigation by sheriff’s deputies revealed the two met online and Chairez traveled to Louisiana to pick up the girl and transported her back to El Paso.

The investigation also revealed Chairez engaged in sexual conduct with the girl, deputies said.

Strike Team deputies with the assistance of Sheriff?s Office Sex Crime Unit Detectives arrested and charged Chairez with aggravated assault of a child.

The girl was reported as a runaway from her home in Louisiana. She is scheduled to return home. Her name will not be released.

Chairez remains in the El Paso County Detention Facility with bond set at $100,000.
