Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect or suspects who, in the past few days, have burglarized several homes under construction.

Since Jan. 10, 2011, Las Cruces Police have learned that 12 homes under construction in a subdivision off Northrise Drive have been broken into and burglarized.

Copper wiring was stolen from nine homes under construction on the 4400 block of Levante Drive during the early-morning hours of Jan. 10. Two days later, during the early-morning hours of Jan. 12, three more homes under construction were burglarized. Police believe that all of the burglaries were committed between the hours of 3 and 7 a.m.

If you have any information on the identity of the suspect, or suspects, you are asked to call Las Cruces Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or send a tip via text message to LCTIPS (528477).
