Men Attacked In Downtown El Paso

A man was arrested after El Paso police said he assaulted two people outside a popular downtown night club.

Rafael Aguirre, 22, has been charged with assaulting two men in the 300 block of Ochoa Street, near the OP.

Police said Aguirre and several others were fighting Saturday when one man tried to stop the fight. Aguirre punched him in the face, then grabbed a broken bottle and attacked him, injuring his face, police said.

Officials said another man stepped in to break up that fight, but he also got punched in the face by Aguirre.

Aguirre was found by police as he was walking near one of the department’s substations.
