Sugar Detox: Day 22
Day 22: Water Torture
I challenged myself to drink my daily recommendation of 80-ounces of water today. Yesterday I drank 40-ounces. Today, I made it to 60-ounces.
I feel so full of water, my back teeth are swimming.
I am now convinced that in the 27 years I have walked this earth, I have never once met the recommended daily water intake.
My water bottle hasn’t left my side since getting out of bed this morning. I drink anytime my mouth isn’t moving from speaking, and yet I’m still 20-ounces short.
Maybe I need to be taking bigger gulps, I don’t know. I’ll try again tomorrow.
On the plus side, I’m constantly full.
Yesterday I had some seriously intense nighttime cravings. I don’t know why, but I would have sold my soul for a Twix bar.
Today, I couldn’t finish any of my meals. I made an amazing garlic-lime chicken in the crock pot for dinner and I had maybe half a serving.
I’m wondering if my body will begin to acclimate itself to the extra water in my system. It certainly became accustomed to getting it’s daily fluid intake from soda, so I’m thinking it will just take some time for my body to become accustomed to all this extra fluid.
