El Paso Ranked 7th Happiest City To Work In

How happy are you at work?

According to a new study published by American Association of Retired Persons, El Paso is the 7th happiest city in the nation when it comes to the workplace.

The report by CareerBliss interviewed hundreds of thousands of employees from around the country.

Eight factors were used to determine job happiness including work-life balance, job security and salary.

But what makes El Paso such a great place to work?

“We have a pretty easy going lifestyle,” said real estate developer Robin Vaughn. “There’s not a lot of stress. You don’t have to fight a lot of traffic, you know, to get back and forth to work. So it’s just a care-free, stress-free life.”

Some El Pasoans also think job happiness in the Sun City is also due to the consistently beautiful weather.

“I think the weather is a big factor. I mean the fact that it’s sunny every day and the economy is good here. We haven’t really been effected by the economy,” said El Pasoan Nanci Blaziek.

“We’re in March right now and I’m not having to worry about snow,” added minister Aaron Salazar. “El Pasoans are friendly, great food, great culture, great place to be.”

Here are the top ten happiest cities according to the report:

1. San Jose, Calif. 2. San Francisco, Calif. 3. Jacksonville, Fla. 4. Miami, Fla. 5. Washington, D.C. 6. Memphis, Tenn. 7. El Paso, Texas 8. Los Angeles, Calif. 9. San Diego, Calif. 10. Birmingham, Ala.
