El Paso Police ID Man Found Dead By Railroad Tracks Friday
El Paso Police have identified the man who died from blunt force trauma to the head near railroad tracks in the Lower Valley on Friday afternoon.
He has been identified as Javier Escobedo, 32, of 5400 block of Beacon.
Shortly after noon on Friday, police were called to the scene near El Paso Drive and N. Glenwood. Escobedo was found dead about 20 feet away from the tracks. The manner in which the trauma occurred is currently under investigation by the Crimes Against Persons Unit. The possibility of Escobedo being struck by a passing train is part of the investigation, police said.
