8-Year Veteran Of El Paso Police Department Accused Of Possessing Marijuana

Detectives with the El Paso Police Department narcotics unit and the Special Investigations Group said they have arrested two people, one of whom is a veteran of the El Paso Police Department, on misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana.

Police arrested 32-year-old Robert Barragan, an eight year veteran of the El Paso Police Department, along with 32-year-old Crystal Robles, after, police said, 2 grams of marijuana were found inside a home in the 3700 block of La Cuesta in east El Paso Monday night.

According to officials, Barragan was a patrol officer with Central Regional Command.

Police booked Barragan and Robles into the El Paso County Detention Facility.

Officials added that Barragans’ termination process began Tuesday morning after a meeting with Chief Greg Allen.
