Slaying Suspects Possibly In Borderland

Two men from California, wanted in connection with a slaying, could be in the Borderland area, according to law enforcement officials.

Crime Stoppers of El Paso is helping the U.S. Marshals Service get information on the whereabouts of the fugitives.

Authorities describe Emmanuel Matthew Mendoza, 20, as a Hispanic man, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, and 200 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

They described James Stancampiano,19, aka “Flacco,” as a Hispanic man, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, and 150 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Authorities said both are responsible for the Sept. 19, 2010 killing of Kevin Prater in Tracy, Caif.

Investigators said they believe Mendoza to be in the El Paso/Juarez area, but are not sure if Stancampiano is with him.

To report information about these men, officials ask the public to call Crime Stoppers of El Paso at 566-TIPS (8477), or submit to submit a tip online at www.crimestoppersofelpaso.org. The public can also text CRIME1 (no space) plus the tip information to CRIMES (274637). You will remain anonymous and, if your tip leads to an arrest, you could earn a cash reward.
