Diablos Lose Season Opener

With 15 total hits and a run in eight of nine frames, Kansas City cruised to a 14-2 win against El Paso. Right fielder Ray Sadler and left fielder Aharon Eggleston each registered three RBI and two hits in the T-Bones? win. Sadler earned two of his three RBI in the first inning, and helped Kansas City jump to a 2-0 lead. El Paso was able to put up a run in both the third and fourth innings, but the T-Bones? four seventh inning runs made it hard for the Diablos to come back. Kansas City pitchers combined for just three strikeouts ? half as many as El Paso hurlers registered. But the T-Bones? bats were on fire all night long, and eight Kansas City batters had at least one hit in the game.
