Bobcat Spotted At Northeast Facility
Just a few days after a mountain lion was spotted in Downtown, a bobcat was seen entering a company’s building in Northeast El Paso.
At about 9:30 a.m., employees at SW Foam spotted a bobcat enter the company’s facility on Railroad Drive, according to a human resources supervisor.
El Paso police, Animal Control, and Texas Park and Wildlife officials were called and searched the facility but did not find anything, according to an El Paso police officer on the scene.
Traps will be set up to capture the bobcat and police will meet with employees to brief them on the situation and what to do if they spot the bobcat or if it is captured, the police officer said.
Tuesday morning, a mountain lion was spotted in Downtown El Paso, ran through a school’s breezeway scaring students and teachers, before the mountain lion was shot and killed by law enforcement. The shooting is under investigation.
