Holguin Headed To Another City Council Term; Lilly, Ness Garcia Go To Runoff

City Council representatives Eddie Holguin Jr. and Ann Morgan Lilly are leading in the respective races, according to early and election day results released Saturday night.

In District 6, Holguin is headed toward another term on City council, leading with 1,288 votes or 64 percent compared to 462 votes for Zulema Lazarin or 23 percent. Gerardo Rosiles is in third place with 248 votes or 12 percent.

In District 1, incumbent Lilly is leading with 1,813 votes or 38 percent compared to 1,014 votes at 21 percent for Lyda Ness Garcia. Lilly and Ness Garcia will head to a runoff on June 11 or June 18.
