El Paso Police: Man Arrested In Homeless Woman’s Homicide

A man wanted in connection with the March 14 homicide of an El Paso homeless woman has been arrested in Vancouver, Washington on unrelated charges, El Paso Police said.

Michael Elijah Adams, 43, also is being held on the murder warrant that has been issued in the death of 51-year-old Venus Driscoll. Fugitive proceedings have begun in this case, police said. No other arrests are anticipated.

Driscol was located he victim was located in the afternoon hours of March 15 in an empty lot located along the 9500 block of North Loop.

Police said investigators have determined that Adams acted alone in the alleged homicide and have thus obtained the warrant.

The cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head.
