Help Sought Finding Endangered 17 Year-Old Runaway
El Paso County Sheriff?s Office Detectives have been working a runaway case for several months in which a 17 year-old female runaway is missing. Sheriff?s Officials are seeking help from the community in locating REBECCA MACIAS (17) of the 12000 block of Jeremiah El Paso County, TX.
In November 2010, family of REBECCA MACIAS received word that she had left to Denver, Colorado with a male subject known only at the time as ?Jaguar?. The family then reported REBECCA as a missing runaway to Sheriff?s Officials in El Paso, Texas.
**NOTE ? in the State of Texas an individual who is 17 years of age is considered an adult but CANNOT voluntarily leave the home until the age of 18 or by court order.***
After several weeks of ongoing investigations, Sheriff?s Officials were able to identify the identity of ?Jaguar? ? who was identified 20 year-old RIGOBERTO SANCHEZ of the 1700 block of South Pecos, Denver, Colorado 80223. Further investigation by EPCSO Gang Unit found SANCHEZ be a SURENO Gang member AKA?JAGUAR?.
Officers from the Denver Police Department in coordination with Sheriff?s Officials in El Paso went to the apartment complex where SANCHEZ was said to reside with his mother. Denver Officials searched the home & discovered they had missed REBECCA by mere minutes.
REBECCA MACIAS has not been seen since then. She is described as a Hispanic female, 4?5? to 4?6? – about 105 to 120lbs., brown hair, brown eyes. She has tattoos on both wrists ?Angel? on one / ?Marco? on the other ? Those are her brothers names.
