Police: Man Follows Women, Points Gun At Them

Police have arrested a man who allegedly followed two women and pointed a gun at them. Investigators said it happened at about 2:19 Sunday morning on the 1100 block of Yarbrough. That’s near I-10.

According to police, the women, who are Hispanic and 22 and 25 years old, drove through several parking lots in the area trying to get away from 21-year-old Reginald Blount. The women told police Blount had been following them and pointed a handgun at both of them. The women told investigators they feared for their lives.

Officers arrived and arrested Blount, who they said is from Fort Bliss. Post officials have not confirmed if Blount is a soldier.

During their investigation, officers found and seized a handgun.

Blount has been booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
