City Survey Reflects Positive Changes
The UTEP Institute for Policy and Economic Development was contracted by the city of El Paso to conduct a survey by telephone in April and May of this year. The goal was to find what the people think about local city services.
Roughly 996 El Pasoans completed surveys and answered questions on community development, law enforcement, transportation, economic development, fiscal initiatives, customer service and citizen involvement. The issue of increasing taxes was one of the hot topics, along with consolidating city and county services like the police and sheriff’s department.
The results of the survey will be presented to City Council on Tuesday.
