UTEP Finds Next Men’s Golf Coach

The UTEP golf team didn’t have to go to far to find its next head coach.

According to one UTEP official, Scott Lieberwirth will leave New Mexico State to take over the Miners. Lieberwirth has done an excellent job with the Aggies. NMSU has won the Western Athletic Conference tournament five out of the last six years including a win this season.

Lieberwirth golfed for New Mexico State. As a senior, he was named first team All-Big West and MVP. In 1999, he became only the sixth player in program history to win a conference title, winning the Big West Conference Championship.

He replaces UTEP coach Rick Todd.
