Northeast El Paso Man Facing Child Porn Charges
A northeast El Paso man has been charged with possession of child pornography and possession with intent to promote child pornography.
El Paso police investigators said Carlos Ivan Gomez, 25, was arrested Tuesday at his home on the 9400 block of Diana Drive.
Officials said the investigation revealed Gomez shared one electronic child porn file over the internet on Monday, June 27th. The file depicted young girls, ages 5 to 10, engaging in sexual conduct, according to police.
Gomez was booked into the El Paso County Jail on a $40,000 bond.
Police said the investigation was carried out by the department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Unit, comprised of FBI agents and police detectives.
