Police: Teens Beat, Rob Pizza Delivery Man For $18
Two teenagers beat up and robbed a Papa John’s Pizza delivery man who only had $18 Sunday evening, police said.
Polica said Dwayne Alberto Flores, 19, and a 15-year-old boy struck the delivery man on the back of his head with brass knuckles and repeatedly kicked him while he was on the ground.
Flores and the boy were arrested on suspicion of armed robbery and conspiracy. Police said both may face additional charges.
Officers were dispatched to 724 East Picacho Ave. shortly before midnight on Sunday, where police said the delivery man was assaulted and robbed of $18. The delivery driver drove himself to a local hospital for evaluation though his injuries were not considered serious, police said.
Officers located Flores and the boy at 730 E. Picacho Ave., where they were positively identified as the assailants, police said.
Flores was booked into the Dona Ana County Detention Center, with bond set set at $35,000. The teenage boy was booked into the juvenile facility without bond.
