Man Run Over, Wife Arrested In Connection With Murder

El Paso police have arrested Laura Juarez on suspicion of the murder of her husband, 34-year-old Salvador Juarez.

A Crimes Against Person?s investigation revealed that Laura and her husband were engaged in a verbal altercation that escalated to a physical confrontation.

That’s when investigators said Salvador left their apartment on foot, and Laura allegedly got into their white Dodge Durango, and went looking for him.

Police said she found Salvador close to the entrance of the apartment complex and struck him with the car, knocking him to the ground and causing injuries.

Investigators said Laura transported Salvador back to their apartment where he later died.

After her arrest, Laura was booked into the El Paso County Jail and her bond has been set at $100,000.

This is the fifth Murder in 2012, compared to seven at this same time in 2011.
