Concordia Dia de Los Muertos — Concordia Heritage Association and Paso Del Norte Paranormal Society celebrate Day of the Dead Friday, Nov. 2 , at Concordia Cemetery, 3700 E. Yandell (between Boone and Stevens) with a ghost tour, fortune teller, flower vendors, decorated altars and more. Proceeds go toward the restoration and preservation of Concordia Cemetery. Parade of Altars — The Dia de los Muertos Altars will be paraded through the Buena Vista community 6 p.m. to midnight Friday, Nov. 2 , ending at the future site of Centro Artistico y Cultural, 120 Courshesne, with music, food and art. Meet at 6 p.m. at the Buena Vista “Plaza de las Quarto Culturas” at Vista Hill and Torres for the parade through the Buena Vista to the center site with altars, Calaca dancers and Matachines. Candlelight Tours — Magoffin Home State Historic Site, 1120 Magoffin, hosts its annual Candlelight Tours 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 2-3 , where guests can step back in time and meet historical characters. Proceeds benefit preservation of the site. Tickets (on sale Oct. 2): $6 in advance; $8 at the door. Cash or check only; advance tickets available at the Home. ‘Dia De Los Muertos’ Ball — Border Aids Partnership’s will host a Day of the Dead Ball and art auction 6 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3 , at Olo Gallery, 504 San Antonio, for its annual Spotlight event, with music, cocktails and heavy hors d’ oeuvres. A Dia De Los Muertos themed art contest will be held.

‘Michoacn’ Dia de los Muertos — La Mujer Obrera and Centro Mayapan, 2101 Myrtle, celebrate Day of the Dead 3 to 10 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3-4 , with traditional Michoacn cuisine, altar exhibits and displays, fair-traded artisan goods and a farmer’s market. The traditional music group Pindekuecha from the Mexican state of Michoacn will perform. A Catrina Costume Contest will be held both days. Admission is free. Lincoln Park Day of the Dead — Lincoln Park Conservation Committee’s 2nd annual “Dia de Los Muertos” event is 4 to 10 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4 , at Lincoln Park, 4001 Durazno, with an outdoor picnic, live music and Danza Azteca in full Calavera costumes, and a lighted mural walk set for after dark. The public is encouraged to set up altars in memory of their loved ones. Information: 204-1584. The new mural “La Catrina” by Gabriel S. Gaytn will be unveiled in memorial of Mexican Calavera artist Jose Guadalupe Posada.
