In collaboration with the Office of Emergency Management, the National Weather Services and the County Road and Bridge Department, the El Paso County Courthouse will have a delayed opening today, Friday, January 4, 2013 due to dangerous road conditions. The Courthouse is expected to resume regular business at 10:00AM today, unless weather conditions worsen.

Due to inclement weather conditions, there will be delayed reporting on Friday, Jan. 4 for all Holloman AFB personnel. Alamogordo area and base residents will report at 8 a.m. Las Cruces, El Paso and mountain area residents will report at 12 p.m. Mid-shift workers overnight tonight, Jan. 3-4, WILL NOT REPORT. Please use extreme caution when driving in winter weather conditions, and use your best judgment in choosing to drive during the storm. The outbound lane of the west gate will be CLOSED tomorrow morning, Jan. 4, to minimize traffic risk entering U.S. 70. For mission-essential personnel, the CDC and DFAC will maintain normal operating hours. Due to adverse weather conditions and our concern for the safety of our patrons and volunteers the Playhouse has decided to postpone the opening night production of “Sherlock Holmes and the First English Gentleman”. The performance scheduled for this evening, Friday January 4th at 8pm has been cancelled. We will celebrate opening night tomorrow, Saturday January 5th at 8pm. I-25: Las Cruces to Williamsburg, NM wet and slick roadways, proceed with caution
US-70 Las Cruces area is now OPEN with snow packed and wet, slick roadways, proceed with caution
US-180 Hurley to Deming is snow packed and icy, proceed with caution
NM-9 East of Columbus, NM – SEVERE driving conditions, driving is discouraged.
NM-11/Deming to Columbus, NM: Wet with icy spots
NM-78 Mule Creek area, wet slick roadways, proceed with caution
NM 90 Lordsburg to Silver City, NM wet slick roadways, proceed with caution
