Three school employees arrested on drug charges
Three employees from three separate schools are facing drug charges, according to a Drug Enforcement Administration spokesperson.
ABC-7 first reported the arrest of 62-year-old Michael Beltran Saturday night.
Beltran is a coach at Cathedral High School. He was arrested on possession of cocaine charges this weekend, according to El Paso County Sheriff’s Office jail records.
DEA agents working with sheriff’s deputies also arrested two other school employees Thursday, officials said.
Raul Gomez, 58, and Joe Paul Solis, 43, were arrested on similar charges related to drug possession, the DEA spokesperson said.
The ABC-7 investigative team discovered Gomez is a coach at Del Valle High School.
Solis is a counselor at Frank Macias Elementary School.
“The District will take appropriate action in accordance with district policy once the matter is carefully reviewed,” Clint ISD spokeswoman Laura Cade said regarding Solis’ arrest.
No word yet on whether the three arrests are related.
