Central El Paso man stabbed in his own home
Sunday morning a man is stabbed in his own home by a stranger.
El Paso Police said it happened in central El Paso on the 4000 block of Trowbridge.
The victim, Joel Garcia, says he left his back door open while bringing in some items.
He was then confronted by a stranger lurking inside the home, who demanded Garcia’s wallet and money. Garcia tried to force him out, but the stranger began cutting him with a pocket knife. The man then took off on foot. Police are still searching for him.
Garcia’s injuries were minor.
