El Paso Police searching for driver who allegedly struck, killed teen Sunday

El Paso Police are searching for the person who struck and killed a teenager early Sunday morning while the teen was changing a tire.

Police said 16-year-old Alan Ordonez, a sophomore at Ysleta High School, had a flat tire as he drove south on Loop 375 near the Rojas exit at around 2 a.m. Sunday, June 16. While standing outside his car another vehicle drove by and struck and killed the teen.

Police said the driver of that car drove off, leaving the victim on the ground.

Police investigators said the vehicle may have been a dark-colored Chevy SUV. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the vehicle or its driver is asked to call El Paso Police at 915-832-4400
