West El Paso manhunt ends with arrest
Asuspect considered armed and dangerous is in custody after a manhunt woke up residents in west El Paso early Tuesday morning.
At about 1:45 a.m. police responded to a possible domestic violence incident near Shadow Mountain Drive.
El Paso Police officials saida Hispanicman in his mid-twentieswas fighting with his girlfriend, when he pulled out a gun. It is unknown if the man shot the gun.
He fled the scene before officers arrived prompting helicopters and canine units to continue the search.
Shadow Mountain Drivewas closed offbetween Mesa StreetandEnterprise Court.
It took police nearly threehours to find the suspect who was reportedly hiding in an area between theSeville West Apartmentsand Shadow Mountain Villas on Shadow Mountain Dr.
The man is now in custody, and all street closures have been reopened.
No injuries have been reported.
