El Paso Animal Shelter offering reduced pricing for pet adoptions on Black Friday

The City of El Paso is encouraging shoppers who are out and about the day after Thanksgiving to take advantage of special adoption fees at the City’s Animal Services Shelter, and take home a new furry friend.

On Friday, November 29, all of the shelter’s “Virtually Irresistible Pets” (V.I.P.s) will be available for adoption at a cost of only $30.

The “V.I.P.” program was created to spotlight some of the shelter’s most lovable pets.

All other dogs and cats, 12 weeks and older, will be available for only $60 through the Humane Society of El Paso.

Friday’s adoptions include:

Free spaying/neutering
Free age-appropriate vaccinations Free microchip
Free City registration

The City’s Animal Services Shelter is located at 5001 Fred Wilson (across from Fort Bliss National Cemetery).

The shelter will be open Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. It will also be open Thanksgiving Day from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The Humane Society will be open Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
