Dona Ana County mother wanted after child tests positive for cocaine

Doa Ana County Sheriff’s investigators are searching for a 30-year-old Mesquite woman who is allegedly on the run after child-abuse charges were filed against her this week.

A warrant for the arrest of Crystal Giron was issued Tuesday after investigators were tipped off that Giron’s one-year-old son had possibly been exposed to Giron’s drug abuse. The boy tested positive for cocaine in his system, according to sheriff’s officials.

Giron is 5-feet tall and weighs 120 pounds. She has dark brown eyes and brown hair and could possibly be in the Canutillo, Texas area.
