Teenager accused of Possessing Child Porn: “I am not a monster”
El Paso Police allege a teenager downloaded child pornography. Casey Rice, 18, was arrested at his mother’s home on the westside at the 200 block of Shadow Mountain Drive on September 11.
He’s charged with possession of child porn.
ABC-7 obtained the criminal complaint against Rice, which indicates this wasn’t the first time the teenager was arrested on suspicion of possessing child porn.
The affidavit states that when officers showed up to arrest him the second time, Rice was upset, crying profusely and told investigators, “not again … why me … I am not a monster … I would never hurt a child”
Investigators said they found three videos Rice had downloaded. The videos contained girls as young as four years old having sex with adult men.
According to the affidavit, Rice told detectives he tried not to go back to child porn but that he doesn’t know why his brain keeps wanting to look at child porn.
Investigators said Rice told them that he gets sick to his stomach when he watches the porn and is disgusted with himself because he says he’s not a monster.
Rice allegedly told detectives he had downloaded child porn about 7 times recently, each time looking at it for over an hour each.
The affidavit also states Rice admitted to downloading the porn on his mother’s computer when she was asleep.
Rice is scheduled to have a bond hearing here at the federal courthouse on Monday.
