Las Cruces Crime Stoppers seek suspet in stadium shooting
Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 cash reward for information that leads to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for firing a gun that wounded a 57-year-old woman who was watching a football game at Aggie Memorial Stadium on the campus of New Mexico State University on Sept. 22.
At about 8:40 p.m. Sept. 22, a woman sitting in the lower, southwest section of the stadium was struck by a bullet. The woman was treated at the scene and transported to an area hospital. Her injury was not life-threatening and she was released from the hospital.
New Mexico State University police are investigating the incident and have reason to believe the gunfire came from somewhere outside of the stadium.
