Body found in burning car in park in Upper Valley of El Paso

El Paso Police are investigating the death of a person whose body was found in a burning car in an Upper Valley park Tuesday afternoon.

El Paso Police officials say that at about 2:22 p.m. El Paso Fire Department personnel were called about a vehicle on fire inside Valley Creek Park.

After extinguishing the fire they found human remains and called police.

El Paso Police’s Crimes Against Persons is investigating it as a homicide but police caution all unusual deaths are initially treated as homicides. It doesn’t mean this was murder.
