Crash in Las Cruces leaves young man fighting for his life

A two-car crash Tuesday afternoon in Las Cruces left a young man fighting for his life.

The accident happened at around 3:30 p.m. on Telshor Boulevard near Mall Drive.

The 19-year-old victim was driving a Chevy Cavalier was struck by a Hummer.

The 19-year-old was unresponsive at the scene and appeared to be suffering from multiple injuries. He was transported by ambulance to Memorial Medical Center but then was airlifted to University Medical Center of El Paso. His injuries are possibly life-threatening and he is considered to be in critical condition.

The 32-year-old driver of the Hummer and her passenger were not injured.

Las Cruces Police are asking for anyone who might’ve witnessed the crash to contact them at 575-526-0795.
