Information on New Mexico’s medical marijuana program special meeting

In New Mexico there’s concern proposed changes to the state’s medical marijuana program will lead to a price hike.

According to the New Mexico Department of Health changes are necessary to meet the needs of a growing number of patients in the program.

The state also plans to increase the number licenses to grow and sell marijuana — legally. A hearing to explain the changes is set for Monday June 16 in Santa Fe.

A public hearing on the proposed repeal and replacement of the rules will be held on Monday, June 16, 2014 @ 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM in the Harold Runnels Building auditorium, located at 1190 S. St. Francis Drive in Santa Fe to receive public comment regarding proposed changes.
