Legal documents detail alleged texts and sex encounter between Bowie teacher and student

The criminal complaint against Eleazar Venzor, a Bowie High School teacher, details Venzor’s alleged interaction with one of his students.

Venzor, 33, has been arrested on a charge of improper educator-student relationship.

Investigation Details From Criminal Complaint

On Jan. 27, 2014 an El Paso Independent School District police investigator, Victor Donoso, was contacted by Chere Williams, an EPISD human resources investigator about an ongoing administrative investigation.

Williams told Donoso that she was working on an investigation of a possible inappropriate relationship between Venzor and one of his female students. Williams told Donoso that she had uncovered some inappropriate text messages sent by Venzor to the female student.

Donoso advised Williams to stop her administrative investigation and EPISD police would be taking over the investigation.

According to the criminal complaint, during the investigation, Donoso discovered that Venzor had in fact been texting the female student over a six-month period. The text messages stated “i love you, i miss you, you make me feel very special, you are mine.”

The criminal complaint also states Donoso discovered pictures of the female student stored on Venzor’s computer and cell phone that showed her in his home. The student was 16 years old at the time.

On Jan. 29, 2014, the female student was contacted by EPISD police at Bowie High School and she was interviewed by them. During the interview, the female student told the investigator that Venzor was her mathematics teacher and on Jan. 22, 2014 she asked him tutoring help.

She said Venzor agreed and had her meet him after school and then he drove her to his house with the pretext that he needed to pick up something.

The female student stated that Venzor asked her to step in the house and that he could help her with tutoring inside the house.

The female student stated that during the tutoring Venzor started making sexual passes at her then undressed her and had sexual intercourse with her.

The female student stated that after the sexual intercourse Venzor drove her home.

At the time of the incident and according to EPISD records Venzor was employed by EPISD and was the female student’s teacher.
