New call center to employ 450

Apogee Retail LLC is opening a new call center in El Paso that will employ 450.

The call center, located at 1359 Lomaland, is more than 25,000 square feet and was opened with the support from the Borderplex Alliance, a regional economic development organization.

Call center employees make calls on behalf of nonprofit organizations across the country to schedule at-home pickups of used clothing and household items.

The collected goods are then sold to Savers stores for resale. Those sales provide funding for the nonprofits’ community programs.
