Senior citizen allegedly kidnapped in Georgia, rescued in Anthony, Texas

Anthony, Texas Police Dept. officers have arrested a Georgia man after he allegedly kidnapped a man and took him across several states.

On Feb. 5, Anthony officers responded to the Love’s truck stop, 2000 Mt. Pass, in Anthony Texas in reference to a distraught male.

Officers talked to the senior citizen who had been pleading with customers to call police.

The man told officers he was kidnapped from Georgia and managed to escape his kidnapper.

Officers found the alleged kidnapper hiding in a wash out next to I-10. Wandio McSwain, 26, of Georgia, was arrested and charged with aggravated kidnapping and felony possession of a firearm.

The scene and subject were referred over to the El Paso Sheriff Office, Criminal Investigation Division for possible further charges.
